Norman Beaudry

Sr. Quality Scientist/Team Lead

Mr. Beaudry has over thirty years of pertinent experience in immunoassay development, and assay performance supporting both government contracts and commercial pharmaceutical programs. Previously as a clinical chemist working with the NASA Saturn Program astronauts, he trained atJohnsHopkinsUniversityin the then revolutionary idea of using and later automation of endocrine and pharmaceutical radioimmunoassay to measure the low levels of circulating hormones.  When NIH recognized the importance of this new technology in the early 1970’s, they put together a team of the country’s leading endocrinologists, and as a contractor, Norman was selected to direct this large inter-branch program from NICHD, NCI, NHLI, NIMH, NIADDK, NINDR, FBI, and FDA transferring these scientists efforts into a program to support government research.  The laboratory had expertise in antigen synthesis, antibody production, radiosynthesis, assay development, to develop and conduct research, clinical and immunogenicity studies following assay validation.  Mr. Beaudry has developed upwards of two hundred immunoassay methods for government and commercial clients and is considered an expert in this field.
